Documenting the Justice Gap 2005

In its first ever justice gap report, Documenting the Justice Gap in America: The Current Unmet Civil Legal Needs of Low-Income Americans (2005), LSC developed a methodology to measure the justice gap and showed that, for every person helped by LSC-funded programs, another was turned away because programs did not have sufficient resources to help. The report was updated and reissued in 2007.
