Measuring the Unmet Civil Legal Needs of Low-income Americans 2017

In 2017, LSC partnered with NORC at the University of Chicago to survey 2,000 low-income households for the first Justice Gap Measurement Survey. This report presents findings from the 2017 Justice Gap Measurement Survey and LSC data. It revealed that 86% of the civil legal problems reported by low-income Americans received inadequate or no legal help. Read the report in PDF or text formats.
